Mahala Ann Mullins Brown

April 1853 – 20 Feburary 1908

Mahala Ann Brown, daughter of Miles Mullins and Elizabeth Dodgens, was born in Georgia in April of 1853 and traveled with her parents to Butler County, AL before settling in Escambia County, AL in the town of Canoe. She married W.F. Brown in Escambia County, AL on 15 Feb 1883.

By 1900 Mahala had given birth to five children but all were dead by the time of the 1900 Census. From the Mullins Family Bible we know the names of four of the children:

Lizzie born 1884

Henry Emmit born 1885

Ellen born 1886

Kate born 1888

Mahala’s mother, Elizabeth Mullins, is also buried in the Old Muscogee Cemetery.
