Archie’s Tombstone

May 5, 1906 – June 23, 1907

Nothing else is known about Archie or his mother, Polly Ann Simmons. Polly doesn’t show up in the Escambia County censuses of 1900 nor 1910 under the Simmons surname. Archie’s tombstone still lies southwest of the main cemetery and was discovered by someone looking for old bottles in the surrounding area. He sent me the above photo taken with his cell phone camera.
